Program Description
The Department of Special Education prepares qualified persons for teaching, scholarship, and leadership positions in educational settings and social agencies. The programs are interdisciplinary and emphasize the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families.
Program Admissions Requirements
Minimum requirements for admission in the University of Utah’s Department of Special Education include:
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0,
At least 24 credit hours of college or university coursework completed,
Proof of a USBE-cleared fingerprint background check
